 'Jigra' is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Vasan Bala. The film stars Alia Bhatt as Satya, a young woman who struggles to save her brother Ankur (played by Vedang Raina) from a foreign prison where he has been imprisoned on false charges. 

The story of the film begins with Satya and Ankur's childhood, where they are orphaned after their father's suicide and start living with rich relatives. Satya is overprotective of her brother. The twist in the story comes when Ankur and his cousin Kabir go on a business trip to Hansi Dao, a country with strict laws, where they are arrested for possessing drugs. Kabir's father uses Ankur as a scapegoat to save his son, causing Satya to do everything possible to save her brother.  

The film was shot in Mumbai and Singapore from October 2023 to February 2024. 'Jigra' was released in theatres on 11 October 2024, but the film was not a success at the box office. At the time of the film's release, actress Divya Khosla Kumar accused 'Jigra' of copying the story of her film 'Saavi', although some considered it a promotional strategy. 

The music of the film is composed by Achint Thakkar, which also includes a recreated version of the song 'Phoolon Ka Taaron Ka'. The film had an OTT release on Netflix on 6 December 2024. 

'Jigra' received mixed responses from critics.  News18 gave it a 4.5/5 rating, saying, "Jigra is a bold, path-breaking, and every bit astounding film that should not be missed." Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express gave it a 2/5 rating, writing, "Jigra becomes a test of patience and credibility." 

The film's story, direction, and Alia Bhatt's performance were praised, but the film failed to live up to expectations at the box office.
